bolded: you were spot on on what I think, digital sales already included.

MK7 did 1.3 + million FW worldwide and everything points to MK8 topping it. you are forgetting that MK sells MUCH better on home consoles and MK 8 is super anticipated.

Are you sure that you aren't toastboy by any chance and just here to give us something to laugh at?

I would be surprised cuz they are the EXACT OPPOSITES! But imagine if it was, We all been Trolled so hard >_<

It did 2.1m. US had a delayed launch. (I just looked at the numbers more closely too and came back to change what I said)

OT - After looking at the numbers again I change my "easily" to "very doubtful." However, people are seriously low balling it. If it doesn't sell at least 650k week one it would be an utter flop expectationwise in my opinion. I don't know if people are intentionally low balling it so when it does pull out good numbers people can pull the "better than expectations card" but seriously, this is MK here. It will have a decent attach rate.

About the poll.... why the hell did you pic those distributions in the options? It goes by 150k first two options then 250k second two options. 250k is huge for numbers we are talking about. I think it should do at least 650k but I would still be right if I chose the option it lands it even if it only sells 500k. But thats 30% difference

Will move One Mio. in first week if you count in eshop downloads.

 

I think many like me will buy from eShop to be able to have a quick fix of Mario Kart without changing discs. 

 

And Nintendo put great effort to sell their higher prices eshop downloads - you can discount by purchasing SNES Mario Kart. Also the free game applies to eShop downloads too...

Mario Kart Wii did a full 2.1 million aligned launch; U.S. didn't come out till a couple weeks later. MK8 launches same week worldwide.

Wattt? Doesn't need a 12mil+ install base! MK7 did it with a 8mil install base (week before release), but then again it had holiday :-/
