but don't care about Smash, don't understand why people are so crazy about it

Let me answer you, that's because it's one of the best multi-player game ever, and one of the funniest with "explosive" items.

For sure, you have to learn how to play it, as it's usually not fun to be KOed without even knowing how.

Fair enough. Fighting games just aren't my thing and I know this, it's my least liked genre. SSBB was the only fighter last gen that I enjoyed at all (if only a bit). I have bought it brand new for 15 Euro though, that's why I don't complain about that purchase. Had I spent 60 Euro, I'd consider it not worth it though and I don't plan to buy the next Smash at all. I know it's just my personal preference and am not hiding it ;) Smash doesn't mean a thing for me, the other games I've listed though I'd be very excited about.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

150 minutes to go.

^Thanks you guys.

Yesterday, during Microsoft's conference, the GameSpot signal started losing quality and with some lag. I'll try IGN or maybe Gametrailers.

@TruckOSaurus: Yes, Fils-a-Mech explodes after it ran out of energy. He shouldn't have used the lasers.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

My list of things that would make me excited and would make me pick up Wii U:

- price cut of $70 (I'm not gonna lie, this one is mandatory for me if I am to buy a Wii U before I buy a PS4)
- a "mature" Zelda U (stuff like the tech demo would be sweet)
- a Metroid Prime 4 or Trilogy HD
- an open-world Skyrim scale Pokemon RPG with Game Pad acting as your Pokedex
- Xenoblade HD
- gameplay of X
- gameplay of SMTxFE
- the new Miyamoto IP actually being exciting
- Nintendo Medals system (aka trophies/achievements)
- a survival horror (Eternal Darkness 2 anyone?)
- a Rogue Squadron-like game, preferably a new Rogue Squadron obviously ;) Love those games!

They won't win me over showing Mario Kart 8 or Smash. I already know about them and it's not enough for me (I love MK, but don't care about Smash, don't understand why people are so crazy about it). All in all, while I know they will be showing Mario, I mean - they have to, they should let him stay kinda on the side for a moment there. Wii U is too much of a Mariobox at this point and it isn't selling, the have to go a different route and change the main pulling force for some time. If they are to give us a Mario game, let it at least be a Mario RPG remake/sequel.

So, the more stuff Nintendo does that is on this list, the higher their chance of me picking up their console this year :)

Tackling your list

- $70 seems steep. I would guess at most $50.  But Nintendo has been bundling a lot so actually dont' expect a price drop.  A bundle is essentially a $60 price drop.  Heck with the Mario Kart bundle you get a free game as well so almost like a $120 price drop.

-  To each their, own.  I love every Zelda art style, though after Sony's press conference I'm not in the mood for any more blood at the moment, lol.  So not too mature

- Would love an HD remake of Prime, along with Metroid 4.  Do what Halo is doing.

- Open World Pokemon, not going to happen

- Same as all other Gamecube and Wii games.  Would love to see many games get the Wind Waker treatment.

- We have seen gameplay of X, looks identitcal to Xenoblade chronicles.  Why do people constantly ask for gameplay when we know of it?  I want some story hints.

- Anythign of FE x SMT please.  showing pics of thier own games and a title isn't enough

- Well he has 3 of them doesn't he?  Hoping at least one of them will be a core game like Pikman and not something dumb like vitality sensor

- Don't care about achievements, but each his own.

- Isn't the Wii U getting some great survival horror game or something? Fatal Frame.  Haven't played series so could be wrong on its genre.

- Totally agree, Love Rogue Squadron. And say what you will about first movie, the pod racing game was amazing too.

Is anyone else trying hard not to get hyped, but failing?

Repeat after me:
Hype is the path to disappointment; remain calm and happiness may follow.
Hype is the path to disappointment; remain calm and happiness may follow.
Hype is the path to disappointment; remain calm and happiness may follow.
Hype is the path to disappointment; remain calm and happiness may follow.

It's not working, new mantra:
Can't be worse than Sony.
Can't be worse than Sony.
Can't be worse than Sony.
Can't be worse than Sony.
Can't be worse than Sony.

(I jest, I've not watched Sony's yet, so I'm reserving judgement until then)

The calmer you are, and the lower your expectations, the more chance of a megaton blowing you away.

If you go in expecting Zelda and Metroid and Star Fox and F Zero and new Mario and X and everything else we've seen people demanding you can only be disappointed.

Expect nothing, and everything will look awesome. Expect everything, and nothing will look awesome.

Look at the Microsoft and Sony fans to see why our tits must be calm...

OT: SO MUCH HYYYYYYPPPPPPPEEEEEEEE

I'm going to set my expectations to - 'Content with Bayonetta 2 trailer + X trailer + (something new)' - hopefully we'll at least get that.

In a few hours, all shall witness the rise of the fils-a-mech!

:)

Didn't the Fils-a-Mech explode due to being forced to drink water?

As I recall he didn't "explode", more "run out of energy" and had to recharge until today.

lol its easier just to buy a gamecube. also rogue squadrom like game is not going to happen theres no one to make a game like that.

we already have metroid prime trilogy to make an hd remake doesnt make much sense and it would take a lot of time since those games are artistically complex not like halo

price drop if theres is one is going to be announced around christmas. fatal frame is in early stages so no fatal frame will be shown today.
