Agreed, unless Nintendo does something stupid, they have won e3!

90 minute Mario Maker presentation, because the logical response to criticisms of constantly rehashing Mario games is to let the public make said rehashes for them.

Mario Maker actually seems legit if real, regardless, everyone seems to be making rehashes/sequels (3 uncharteds in one gen plus another coming soon/last gen games being "remastered") so I don't take the criticisms too serious.

I'm not holding my breath for that game, specially since Guillemot states that

"We have a game that has been done for six months; it is on our shelf waiting until more families to have the machine."

That doesn't sound like the kind of game we are looking for.

 

And so far, I've managed to keep my expectations low. Yay for me! Whatever Nintendo comes up with will be enough... I hope (please, no Wii Music U).

My personal guess:

Wii Music 2 will show up, albeit possibly under another name, but there'll be enough good stuff so that we can laugh at it comfortably in retrospect.

Say what you want about Wii Music, it sold over 3 million copies. If "Wii Music 2" built on the original formula, maybe giving more control over the orchestra and whatnot, it could become this gen's version of Mario Paint Composer. I'd hardly mind that.

Also, my fingers are crossed for an asymetric Mario Party. If this game I've theorized about turns out to be real, it will be the first time since roughly 2002 I've cared about Mario Party.
