Or, how about you try and say why I am wrong? Because, y'know, thats how discussions are meant to work.

Nope, I want to maximize my amusement.

Do you ever get the feeling that your time could be better spent doing literally anything else?

Double Dash sales on GC: 6.95m. More than any Killzone or Infamous game.

.....Yes I know and I've never said otherwise. But the audience for PS/XB is far, far, far larger than that of the WiiU because Killzone and Infamous appeals to two different audiences whereas all of Nintendo's titles appeal to just one audience. Why can you not deal with that?

Wat??? Nintendo titles appeal to just one audience? Dafuq??? Why are you grouping all nintendo ips into one (for appeal).

Take a look at SSB and your already wrong!

why dont u back up ur claims? where is ur proof that all Nintendo games appeal to the same audience? how do u know games like Mario and Fire Emblem share the same fanbase or that Pikmin is bought by the same crowd as Smash Bros? Also how can u be so sure Killzone and Infamous dont share a common fanbase?

Show some proof or admit ur making things up.

Because it's incorrect. Nintendo franchises appeal to young and old, male and female. Killzone and Infamous appeal to only one audience; males 14-40.

If Nintendo appeals to such a large audience, then why has the WiiU and GC bombed? *oh snap*

Look at GBA and 3DS sales for the same generation. *Oh snap*

The longer you drag on this laughable claim that Nintendo games don't have broad appeal, the more you're embarrassing yourself.

play4fun said- Yeah, Nintendo's exclusives didn't sell the Wii.

You need to check who it is that is really disillusioned.

the wii's success was mainly due to the controller waggle wand(imo),that thing took ahold on the casuals soul and never let go.. it was so different/unique they just had to have it.. they don't got anything like that now that captures the casuals imagination... the casuals find no appeal in it

Yes, they did. Wii Sports. Wii Fit. Mario Kart Wii. New Super Mario Bros Wii. Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Motion controls alone are meaningless without games. People buy a system to play games, not to shake their controller at the Wii Menu or a blank screen.

Easy. Sales of games on the GC and WiiU yet the overall sales of the consoles.

Lol buddy you just dodged what I said. Answer it and keep it relevant - we are talking about home consoles, not portables here.

If Nintendo games have broad appeal, then why the dire WiiU and GC sales?

We now in the time of economic stagnations.

People who like Nintendo games are usually grown ups with a families/kids. Who have a lot of things to care and know what a liability is. So they unlikely to drop money for new game hardware in a hard times. Their support for the console will grow bigger since more games appealing to them will be out.

The 'core' auditory of PS4/X1 are gamefreaks who think only about new games. They easily bought the nextgen hype and now sitting with a mildly powerful machines with no new games to play, thats why they are so defensive on game forums.

The winner of the generation will be the console which appeals not to small group of gaming fanatics (male, single, 16-32 years old, basement dweller) but to broader audience (as always). So we'll see how the things will turn out. But it seems to me this generation will not be an easy walk for anyone of a big three.

Even though I got my console late in it's life I still use my wii console to play all the wii games. I have a wii U and very happy with it but still they need to make a reason for consumers to move up onto the wii u
