Forums - Nintendo - Ubisoft now “fully focused” on finishing Watch Dogs for Wii U

“Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved. We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. We needed those guys to get [the shipping versions] finished, and the good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version-

I stopped reading right there and expect Ubisoft to deliver on its promise.

why people cannot undersatnd basic market rules... even 2 month slater will be too late... who wants to play it will do it without waiting for this version. they should just cancel it.

couldnt the same have been said even if they released on time? for the most part?

That ship sailed long ago. if the wii u version were getting the atention it deserves, it would be releasing alongside the others.

and f*ck you again, Ubisoft.

The same can be said about any individual version of the game.

If they deliver it I will come. If not I have plenty of cheaper things to play.

For the business I'd say it may make sense to cancel. I mean, releasing a WiiU version at full price well after marketing's died down and all other versions have had like 4 months on the market to reduce in price... who at all would support that? Anyone with another console would have it earlier or cheaper, and many die-hard Nintendo fans feel gipped by this delay and probably won't come out to support. That leaves very few.

This is a game which could benefit substantively from the gamepad, though. Hacking-centric and all. Yeah, you're not going to get great results, but they could have performed better than some of Ubisoft's other recent games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

No, what you said can be said about any individual version.

I'll be picking it up on Wii U.
