It will get better. It's not just because of few PS4 games, but because PS3 is still having a lot of games, and also promises more to come. When I only think about Persona 5 coming out in 2015 for PS3... I'll rebuy the console just for that...

Infamous Second Son is the only exclusive worth owning and it doesn't even cater to the Japanese audience. The only games the Japanese can buy are either western titles they don't want which can be purchased on the PS3 or Yakuza Ishin which can be purchased on the PS3. It's quite obvious why the Japanese aren't supporting the system.

I bet the Japanese are doing the same thing as many of us westerners. "Another port," "nothing but ports," "PS4 has no games," etc.

The 7th gen proved that Japan sales are more of bonus to overall sales than anything. Despite the PS3 outselling 360 almost 8 to 1 there, it still took almost the entire generation for the PS3 to finally pass it overall. The PS4 needs to be at least 90% focused on western consumers, and Sony knows this. Japanese developers will make the games, and PS4 sales will pick up there as more and more projects release on the console.
