Do you honestly believe it would have been a lot better, counting that the software is not Japanese centric, as the ps fans have stated in this thread?

Do you believe in a magical holiday boost that didn't come to many platforms, like Vita, Wii U and Wii?

In the end, you would have looking at the same trend. Some units more, but nothing worth.

you need to look at sales more if you dont think holiday boost exist. to answer your question, yes it would have been different releasin in nov. thats whyafter the first holiday ps4 will be ahead at the same time period as ps3

It really looks like Japan console market is shrinking. I expected PS4 to outsell, during its lifetime, the PS3, but if this trend continues, it totally won't.

Considering that Japanese market is getting less and less important sales-wise, I don't think this is good indicator to understand the performance of a console.
