This week japanese numbers for PS4 are not exactly as interesting as some would like. Despite the big success for Sony in the west side of the world, the japanese consumers are focused on portable and mobiles games. We already see the bad performance for Wii U, but looks like the recent PS4 is going in the same way, for now.

Until games come, the meltdown will continue every week. For the luck of the console, big games will come once FFXV and future JRPG arrives to the console.

This time sales are very umpredictable. Even 3DS is fading. Maybe there's no hope left for traditional videogames in Japan.

Except Vita is really doing well this year in Japan. At least that's good!

The first few weeks gave PS4 a really nice push for the global PS4 sales in 2014 but since then there doesn't come much anymore. Will be very interesting to see how PS4 will sell in Japan after some big Japanese games will release.

Yeah, but I feel this generation more biggy games will be translated to protable entries. Like MH and DQ.

Well compared to previous years, but not as well as 3DS was doing two years ago. And even farther from PSP/DS.

PS4 should able to come back due to reduced competition even if the market is shrinking
