Forums - Gaming - Destiny - The first real "Pretend Exclusive"?

This is common in Germany. Here usually 3rd parties are advertised as exclusives (Fifa only mentions Playstation in ads on TV).

every multiplatform game released util now player better ? better visuals yes, play better? ha, that's a fanboy mentality.. sorry

It is not fanboy mentality... it is a tecnical fact... better framerate give you better controller response... and I said and/or meaning VISUAL or CONTROLLER or BOTH

Can you list a multiplatform game that plays better on Xbone?

Good thread. But I wonder....is Sony doing the marketing for this game?
I remember MS used to run multiplat ads with "Only on xbox live" at the end. Is Sony doing something similar, or is this pretend exclusivity simply falling into their laps?

You're half quoting. They said "Get new game content first, Only on Xbox Live"

"Choose PS4 because it have better multiplatform games"  < this is subjective just so you know :-p

This is a technical fact... there is no way to be subjective if every multiplatform game released util now player better or/and have better graphics on PS4.

It's not a fact since there are games which look equal and play equal. Not *every* multiplatform game.

Destiny does have a timed exclusive beta and outright exclusive content on PS4. I imagine Sony didn't get that for free.

Oh of course not. Sony definitely wanted to be on the good side of the ex-Halo dev

Either that or they paid Activision.

As you mention it - fluctuating framerate means fluctuating controller response time

I would say this is nothing new, as you listed in your OP this has been done with many games before; I think where your reasoning fall short is thinking that Destiny isn't high-profile enough for the common consumer to be informed that it's multiplatform. I mean Destiny is looking/tying to be "call of duty" if this gen, Destiny isn't some niche title that you really need to browse the web to find out what system it's on.

I see nothing wrong with the advertising of Destiny, it's pretty much what MS has done with CoD for years.

I believe you can say cod, bf4, and titanfall were first

lol,  oh boy, like those framerate drops ps4 had for ghost at that 1080p 60fps right?

All i am saying is play better is subjective.. ps4 has better graphics no doubt [no doubt]..play games better? not really. Anywho.. enough with that type of talk. let's not get banned. :-p

Praise the One.

And Sony with Fifa, exactly. Nothing new here.
