Every COD and BF4 commercial I see has Xbox One at the end. Saying "get new content first on Xbox". This thread isnt too thought out.

I can see where you are coming from Titanfall is a great example, advertised to stupid levels for Xbox One, even though 360 and PC were also available, I think it esspecially affected 360 sales. Although with Destiny, I've seen it mentioned for 4 platforms, PS3/4 and Xbone/360.
EDIT: I see your trying to get a Xbox vs PS discussion going... a lot of games are shown lead platform in advertising, it helps. Although some promotion may also favour certain companies based on insentive, CoD and GTA was enticed by MS for exclusive content deals and such alike which would have pushed advertising to their devices.
Hmm, pie.
Thinking about it, the concept of pretend exclusives is pretty interesting.

Still, no-one is buying it, but sales2099 insists that how it is so lets just play along for the fun of it even though we know such practises have been going on for decades. |
Surely this has been done in other industries, but this is fairly new to gaming, or at least recently. Last gen only COD and GTA come to mind as major 3rd party games being heavily marketed so one-sided.
You don't think having a heavily PS vibe injected into Destiny marketing won't have a substantial impact on PS4 hardware/software sales? Because we are the minority, the in-the-know internet gamer. There is merit to this strategy, and it has been done by both sides.

Yes, to the informed gamer. Even if people know its multiplat, they are convinced that one console is THE place to play it. Hence "pretend".

Destiny is not GTA or COD. Those are the two big casual magnets. The games that parents know about. Destiny is not that.
ugghhhh why do you create threads )o:

I can see people that have both consoles or even neither (and want to buy a new one) to choose PS4 because it have better multiplatform games but I'm sure who already pretend buy a Xbone, or have more friends on Xbone or even have only the Xbone will chosee it and will be happy.

But why would you assume the default reaction to the uninformed gamer would be that its an exclusive?
they maybe uninformed about the particular game but based on their knowledge from massive multiplatform games which still only have 1 logo, they know an advert only having 1 logo does not mean it is only on that platform.
uninformed is not the same as stupid.
