The demo is too short to 'get' the game, they throw you in at the deep end with a bunch of moves that you don't really know how to use so you end up feeling a bit lost.  It really didn't do the game any favours, the game proper is great however, there's really nothing else like it out there.

There's also nothing out there like Pikmin 3 (besides Pikmin 1+2) and it's an even better game.

He watched the Direct that explained how the game should be played, so he has no excuse. Other than being German, of course.

I had the excuse of owning a teensy little 25" TV and a viewing distance of ~2,8m. Couldn't see shit when playing the demo.

No longer though, now own a brand new 42" Samsung LED TV. Time to replay the demo and decide for real :P
