I haven't played the third one, still not interested with a HD trilogy. They went from rpg to cover based shooter, lost me along the way. The first one was very good though.

News flash, the first trilogy of games were already "HD".


Just upping the resolution and framerates isn't going to be breathing new life into the franchise graphically, take it from someone who played them at 1440P.

Depends on the amount of polish that goes into the ports, i may be swayed to buy them all again, but i will have to see some value here.

Full HD then if you like. It's more the loading times that needed fixing. Anyway yes you can play it in ultra HD on PC for a lot less.
The screenshots on steam look pretty rough, it needs quite a bit more than a simple port to make it appealing.

If by that, you mean there is demand for better looking/performing ports, then yes. How dare anyone actually want that.

If you have not played Mass Effect trilogy this package may be worth getting. Playing through entire trilogy and DLC again would be a mind numbing experience unless you are a huge fan of the Mass Effect series.

The higher the resolution the more imperfections such as the low quality sky boxes, colour banding and the poor textures and geometry stand out as there is more clarity in the image.

On the PC at-least there are a plethora of texture mods, you can throw 16x Anti-Aliasing and 16X Anisotropic Filtering and inject some new shader effects to improve the image, but that will only take you so far.

Unfortunatly I doubt we will see the game ported to Unreal Engine 4 as the engines are substantually different.

However, I'm not sure how difficult it would be to throw the games onto frostbite instead, depends how much work EA has put into it's tools.

Or... The next gen consoles will just get a version that's inferior to the modded PC version graphically... Who knows at this point.

Kinda makes sense if your game save data from 1-3 can be used in ME4 to establish the history, even including the choice you made at the end, except for the "fuck civilisation, let the cycle continue" choice I suppose.

If all they do is a 1080p upgrade I don't see myself trudging my way through ME1 again, which would make ME2 and 3 a non-starter. So much as I loved the series I'm only interested in ME4 and I'm happy to live with a default set up.
