My number one problem is that its an expensive hobby, especially if your really into it. I spent thousands of dollars a year on gaming. I can't do that anymore and now its going to frustrate me even more. It hurts the this hobby to grow because it makes it a huge barrier to entry but I think at least incredible indie games help.

Of course everyone mentions DRM. There is nothing beneficial about it. Games getting constant patches suck when it might release a game yearly than it should (BF4) but there is cases that a game is deemed finished and there is some unexpected bugs that do get fixed. A double edged sword.

As for yearly sequels, I don't care for it but it doesn't bother me. Most of the Assassin's Creed games were all good and very diverse. I can't say the same about Call of Duty but if there is a demand for it than I am not going to be selfish and think that we don't need them when enough want it that they easily turn a profit. They are avoidable. You don't have to buy any annualized sequels.
