It's because they're trying to sell you fun (people) not graphics (pictures).

Nintendo requires all videos of their games to include pictures of how the game is played. As noted in another article, you'll have all four control options available for this title as well (Wiimote, Wiimote w/ Nunchuck, Classic, and GameCube controllers).

Seriously? I wonder how it plays with Wiimote+nunchuck.

Probably just as well as it does with a Classic or GC controller...all a nunchuck is is a joystick and 2 buttons. That right there plus the buttons on the Wiimote are plenty for a Mario Kart game.
