A JRPG with Town building elements could hit a niche market if released today, with the Minecraft craze in full swing.

Sony should jump on that. People want creativity!

I'll keep my eye on this. I thoroughly enjoyed the older stuff back in the day. I hope it is something new, though.

E3 2014 can't come soon enough!

Not sure if Sony only registering it now means it almost certainly won't be at E3 or that there is a greater chance it will be, but I hope they are making a new one.

But like the article said, maybe they just renewed it to stop someone else getting the name.

If they are working on a title, they usually would trademark it while the game is quite far in progress. If it's a new game it could show at E3, though I'd expect it to be at TGS cause I think either Level-5 or Sony's Japan Studio's will be doing it cause Level-5 created the series and SJS seems to be the only FPS to keep the series in tact if creating a new game, since 2 had like a cross between typical anime look and a studio Ghibli look. We'll see though

Sony should seriously buy or partner up with Level 5 and have them make JRPGS for them -.-. All the level 5 jrpgs sell TONS like Look at Ninokuni that thing did 1.5m

Like they should just make them first party! If they don't do it quick Level 5 will go multiplat looking at how WonderFlick is going to be multiplat. Sony would lose a huge asset

Dark Cloud 1 sold just over 1.5 million, Dark Cloud 2, maybe a million
RG both regular and DC is about 1.25 million
Ni no Kuni is 1.2 million but I'm sure it will still sell a bit.

WKC2 0.6 million
Not the greatest numbers really. But hands down I think every game they've done on PS are masterpieces.
Idk what ppl say, WKC2 is one of my fav games of last gen, same with NNK. DC2 is my fav game ever. out of the games on ps from them I never named. Only one I didn't enjoy was Jean D'arc but I hate those style games in general.
Level-5 has been 3rd Party doing nintendo and ps games for years upon years now tho
