If you were to ask me what I though nintendo's marketing strategy was, I'd guess it was to try and make the wiiU sell poorly.

So MK8 is going to sell at least 28million wii u's LTD assuming 100% proliferation from MK Wii right? Having a userbase that is 3/50th size of will have literally no effect on its sales? Am I understanding this correctly?

you are doing anything but understand correctly. "Having a userbase that is 3/50th size of will have literally no effect on its sales?" are you even trying? wii wasn't born with 100M installed base. and of course the current installed base is irrelevant, because many are waiting those games to buy the console.

the games may or may not watch their wii predecessors but the fanbases are certianly far bigger than your description.

After yesterdays NPD, Tropical Freeze and 3D World during the holidays I don't know what to believe. Since maybe isn't an option I'll side with no for now.



I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

TitanFall was bundled with XBO

Mario Kart 8 wont get bundled with Wii U until after launch. Nintendo aren't smart enough to bundle it at launch.

If they advertise the hell out of it, it gets really high ratings, and there are free demos on the eShop for it I believe it could really put both Sony and Microsoft scurrying for survival (at least for that week). Also, if they bundled it with a bunch of consoles it would wreck all the investments in PS4's and XBOX Ones. To keep the sales high commercials need to be good, no, GREAT, and they have to start at the beginning of May.

MK will boost Wii U for short term and i expect 500k consoles sold for May-June due to Mk. But, after that it may get back to 30-50k/week. PS4 has Watchdogs, Last of US and many others in may/june so it will also do great.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
