Forums - Sony - PS Vita doesn't deserve bad reputation

I disagree, it deserves to be where it's at. I'm in no way dumping on the fans of the system, but the system itself. Sony hasn't done much for the Vita at all, and I don't expect to see much from them at E3 except a few ports.

Feel free to prove me wrong though Sony.

The Vita needs real marketing and games like GTA and Gran Turismo. It's just that easy!

The Vita is a hardcore gamer system. It doesnt surprise me that it sells alot of software.

The only problem is that it failed to his mass market.

To me the Vita is a system for a special group of hardcore gamers. Your statement sounds like "every hardcore gamer will automatically buy a Vita" which is wrong, in my opinion. But yes, only hardcore gamers would live with the proprietary memory solution and would praise the system like it's done on forums while the masses don't buy the system because they don't see why in the first place and most probably won't even if you would try to convince them for an hour.

It was haedcore gamers that also bought 3DO, for example, or a Turbo Grafx.

Provided your talking about SCEA and SCEE sure, they have been deplorable and let the system die with little effort. SCEJA on the other hand are still pumping out game after game and promoting the crap out of it and would you believe the system is back from the dead in Japan.

Although I must say the opposite is happening with PS4 xD

Doing so well for them that they're not sure whether they're bringing their new game to the system.

Righty-o, Drinkbox.

with all the announcements today the Vita might get more play time than any of my other systems!!!

It wasn't underpowered and overpriced, I'll tell you that much. It also didn't force a cheap gimmick on people who didn't want it and jacked up the price.

Yes it does. Its a failure and Sony isn't doing much to help it.

Going to presume Sony means SCEA and SCEE as SCEJA have been amazing for Vita and that cant be denied.

A list of western developed games published by Nintendo and Sony for the WiiU and Vita respectively

WiiU
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Vita
Little Big Planet Vita
Little Deviants
MLB The Show 12, 13 and 14
ModNation Racers Road Trip
PSASBR
Reality Fighters
Resistance Burning Skies
Uncharted Golden Abyss
Unit 13
WipEout 2048
Epic Mickey 2
Jak and Daxter Trilogy
Killzone Mercenary
Sly Cooper TiT
Invizimals
Tearaway

Well then I guess if that output from Sony wasnt enough so far than Nintendo are always going to be fucking deplorable right??

If its the proprietary memory cards that are holding it back, i wonder how the Playstation 1 and 2 ever survived.

Dont you think thats its a bit unfortunate to make such a big deal over a 20 euro memory card that usually comes bundled with the system or several games? No, its not. Its games, that is all.

Allowing non-proprietary cards would be to allow piracy in and effectively kill the system. Wich one do you prefer?
