After all those hours watching Let's Plays, have you felt compelled on getting at least one MGS game? Yes, they're all on Last-gen consoles except Ground Zeroes. But is there a game you feel like playing?

I don't own any Sony Consoles.

Twin Snakes I hear is really rare and expensive to find.

I am compelled to get Meat Gear Rising for the PC tho, more so that it was made by Platinum Games, but now that I am getting the story figured out its pretty much solidified my reason to purchase it.

I think there are also pc ports of MGS 1 and 2. From what I know, it is possible to get MGS 2 running on a modern PC with patches.

And then there was a special side mission involving her on the beach...again in her underwear....where you can attempt to grope her?

Japanese are open-minded. You can also play the same side mission with Kaz in his underwear in case women disgust you.

I hope you are joking in your post.

One thing thing is not be open minded other is tolerate stupid scenes like the one OP mentions , i find it completely stupid ( the paz scene in the end when she goes crazy takes her cloths  a 16 year girl , thinking a almost 50 year old guy like kojima does that scene and thinks its acceptable is mindblowing to me).

Its ok if you find that funny or whatever but implying the OP gets disgusted by women just because we found the scene akward and out of place is a little bit silly.

And when people say japanese are open minded to stuff like this ... i bet if they show that scene  and exlain the context to a large group of japanese people i bet more than 90 % would find it stupid.

You're just mad you didn't manage to uncloth Kaz, CGW :P

Do you need to play Metal Gear 1 and 2, or can i skip them and start with Metal Gear Solid?

MG 1 and 2 can be skipped. Don't go and play MG NES version. That sucks. You can even skip MGS 1, if you bought the HD collection like me. And not miss much going through timeline order. I eventually got a ps1 copy of MGS 1. It fills in the story gaps I was confused on. But I felt fine skipping the games first go around.

I wouldn't skip MGS1 for the simple reason it was probably the easiest of the storylines to understand/digest.

It definitely felt the most grounded of the series (never played MG1 & 2)

Hot damn! I know this wasn't for me, but I'd love to play that like a fiddle.

Sorry for bumping this topic, but I'm currently playing Peace Walker now on the PS3 and there is a torture chamber scene where you have to bash the triangle button. I can't pass it, any tips?

Use the vibrate technique (just made that up ).

Practice tensing your arm until it starts vibrating or shaking. Keep your finger straight and firm and try focusing those vibrations on the button.

I'm always amazed at how people can't tap faster.

I was playing South Park with some of my friends and they'd literally hand me the controller when one of those moments come up. I would be looking at their hand, seeing how slowly they tap the button and I couldn't believe it. It's like someone's walking and they tell you they can't go any faster.

Oh well.
