Wow, for this price they really have to make a proper hd version of the game, with better assets and everything to make people buy it a second time.

i would guess this game is mostly for those who has a 360 and no PS3, but are considering making the jump to the PS4.

Well, perhaps. But they could also buy a PS3 TLOU bundle and play the game on PS3 if they don't polish the PS4 version for way less money.

well logically speaking, there are some people right now considering buying a next gen console, thats what they want.  buying a PS3 would set them back 200 bucks when they dont really want it, but want a next gen machine. since they are buying one anyways, this might help them chose the PS4, so they can play TLoU.

and also for people who were 360 owners before and has now made the jump onto PS4.. finally they'll find out what the fuss is all abt of this game.. its an added incentive and one the most deserved game to be ported onto PS4.. Not to mention it will be developed exclusively for PS4 and wouldnt have to worry abt platform parity

Full price.... ugh

The thing is, they have the higher res assets for the cut scenes, so how much work do they need to do? They need to get their engine working on PS4 for Uncharted 4 anyway.

Anyway, the Last of Us looked far better than any other PS3 game, it doesn't need that much work to look better than the current gen games

But I'll probably buy it anyway.

I just hope they don't spend too much time on E3 for this.

regarding price - it has the DLC included with it if i'm not mistaken.

No matter how much of a visual upgrade it is I won't be buying it a second time. If it comes to PS+ on PS4 in 6 months time I might get it. It's superb as it is on PS3.

This reminds me of Tomb Raider and Rayman Legends. Great games but too high of a price for a year old game that most people who wanted to play it, already have. Ill prob pick it up at some point, but doubtful at $60.

As others mentionet, great news for people who havent played it though

Not exactly. The PS4 is the better investment now seeing as it has a whole gen of support ahead.

Would be great for people who never had a PS3 at the time The Last of Us was out, or people who are still deciding between the PS4 and XB1. I'm also assuming this will include DLC, similar to Tomb Raider's Definitive Edition? If it doesn't, the price tag is too high IMO. Also, I'm personally expecting an announcement at PAX this week.
Also, to your question on what games I'd like to see remastered for PS4, I'd love to see the Uncharted games!

I bought a PS3 for TLOU. It was totally worth it. I think the game was almost perfect on the PS3. The only issue was some framerate drops during action sequences.

Does this mean all these 'pixel counters and framerate junkies' are going to buy this game again to see how good it looks on ps4?

Or will the game merely sell to first-timers like previous xbox owners.

I missed TLOU, so I am super hyped for this.

This might move a few consoles if it's released soon.
