My initial opinions of the WiiU and Vita were that the WiiU will bring great Nintendo Games and the Vita would be dead in a year.

I play my Vita at least five times as much as the WiiU.

Wii U will never sell more than PS4 and Xbox One on a week basis, Neither I believe MK will push Wii U above, hmm let's say at best 120.000 on launch week, but MK will give "huge" numbers on holidays, that will make Wii U pass the Vita this year

Nope. PS Vita is picking up steam.Wii U's problem is how poor it is as a console when compared to the competition.

Now, I know what you're thinking... "But, PS Vita is doing bad against the 3DS".

Sorry. Different market and different expectations. Besides, PS Vita has more potential than the Wii U AND 3DS.

Nintendo fans won't like reading that. PS Vita has PS4 connectivity. THAT is the reason to get a Vita. So, you can keep tabs on your PS4 on the go etc.

That's actually what I am waiting for, but if such a bundle doesn't roll out this holiday season I'm not waiting any longer and likely will skip on the vita altogether.

The future's not ours to see, but currently PSV is currently outselling WiiU weekly quite regularly, so increasing its lead, the longer this lasts, the harder it will be for WiiU to fill it, even if it should turn the table.
Anyway, BOTH PSV and WiiU still need to better their situations, PSV needs to start doing a lot better outside of Japan and Wii U outside of America, with america being the weakest region for PSV and Europe the weakest one for Wii U.

Most things point to announcement at E3, so this could become a reality.

Unless Sony has some digital magic, Wii U will overpass the Vita by the end of 2014. I think MK8, SSB4, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, X, Zelda U, and all their other crazy stuff they have planned will help Wii U rocket ahead of the Vita.
