Doesn't it seem odd to you that a showcase game would leave half the system's RAM unused at any time? That's like a 360 game never using more than 256MB.

I love the people with the "It looks great artistically, but not on a technical level" argument. The only thing that matters if it looks amazing to the eyes and it does.
No cartoon racer on the PS3/XBOX360 ever came close to this. And there were enough cartoon racers like Modnation racers, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Transformed(and its predecessor), LittlebigPlanet Racing, etc. on the PS3.
This game even looks a lot better than Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and that's an XBONE game. It also looks better than Knack which is a PS4 exclusive.

There *are* probably Xbox 360 games that only used 256Mb of Ram. That's my point. :P
However, that would only happen early-on in a systems life or with Arcade type games.
Unfortunatly there is no way to know it's memory usage, so it's just speculation.

Its about time something came out for my dust collector. I am looking forward to spending many hours with it and knocking the dust off.

I'm sure there are, but high-profile blockbuster games? MK8 isn't some eshop indie game or PS3/360 port, it's a major first party release.
And yes, it is just speculation, but speculation can be fun. :)

Disagree.
SM3DW is very nice in the non-photorealistic category. Perfect for Mario, but wouldn't want all games to look like this.
PS3 has a lot more top photo-realistic games that Wii U. It's not that Wii U couldn't do better graphics than PS3, it's just that it doesn't have the games to show it off compared to the best of PS3. Uncharted 2 & 3, TLOU, Beyond Two Souls, GT5, GTA V, MGS4, GOW3, Killzone 3, Tomb Raider spring to mind.

I'd hardly call God of War "realistic". If we're going to stretch the definition to include colourful fantasy, I'd volunteer Trine 2 Director's Cut on Wii U, which was confirmed by its developers to be beyond the PS3 and 360's capablities.
^ Yes! I played on PC, but Trine 2 is gorgeous on Wii U and shows it's potential to best PS3/360.
