Forums - Sales - Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition breaks the 12 Million sold barrier

My nephew has bought this at least twice. For his PC and for his PS3. It is almost all he talks about. While I got burned out years ago after buying the alpha build it is nice to see a game that encourages creativity being a big fad among younger gamers.

Not to mention that if kids have someone to show them the ropes, it's a great gateway to engineering with all the insane stuff you can do with redstone circuitry and command blocks.

Why do people keep buying this?

Congratz for its success. I may try to get into it once it comes out on Vita (which I heard is the same as the console version), though what are the main differences between it (console version) and other versions?

Though, like another person said, better this become super successful than CoD :P

just goes to prove,... everyone hates indies and they shouldn't count as real games because AAA is the only thing that matter. ;)

Yes because this is so typical of indie games sales wise.

oh... hang on I forgot my

nor are CoD's sales typical of AAA games sales wise.

i mean, i just don't get people that brag about shit like bulletstorm and bayonetta and blue dragon and dark souls and too human and rayman and XCOM...    i mean really now, if a game doesn't go on to make a significant boost in MS's profit margin was it really even a game?!?   ;)

you're just being silly to try and make a vague point.

but you get what i'm saying though right?

i really wanted to enjoy infamous second son but how could i?   as i was traversing the city all i could think about was how sony had to sell a building in order to afford to make this game.   it wrecked the entire experience for me.   how can i enjoy this "game" when there are financials and business oportunities to maximize?!?   :P

What a beast.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

School yard effect. Couple kids have it and it spreads around so they all have it.  When I was a kid similar phenomenon happened with Pokemon Red/Blue.
