I dislike Halo, but there isn't rechargeable health in the first, ODST, Reach and fourth game, and 3 has indeed rechargeable health but to a very small degree. You depend on the shield of your armor to your survival, since there's only 40 points of health in H3.

 

I do agree that Halo 2 blatantly used the rechargeable shield as the health bar, meaning it did recharge.

Oh, and let me just say that to me, there are games that can be frustrating, disapponting or just plain boring, but I find it hard to believe that people can hate a game/franchise.
