I don't know how so many people can call him likeable with that slappable Eric Bischoff face. But he does seem like a dude who gets it.

This is excellent news. He's the only Xbox guy I actually know about, and he seems like he actually gives a damn. If anyone can turn this mess around, he has the best shot.
Hopefully he starts working on making Xbox's first party actaully worthwhile and varied.
He is the only tolerable guy at MS currently so good choice.
This is the best news from Xbox Ive heard in a long time. Phil is the only exec they had that I liked.
Seriously great news.

Yes but like Bischoff, he's going to use all the companies money to poach talent from competitors and create the New Xbox World Order or NXWO!

He is extremely smug-looking.
Its certainly a step up from Don Mattrick though. Good lord, I dont think Ive ever wanted to hit someone in the face with an axe even half as much as I wanted to hit Don Mattrick in the face with an axe.

Good for Xbox. He's definitely more likable than Mattrick, which is a plus any day.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
