Do you think that the reason why they do this is the lack of new games coming or rather there are plenty of new informations coming soon in next Nintendo Direct or at E3 ? Give yor opinion, and your ideas. |
I like to think that they've got a big announcement brewing. As such, they'd be holding off on new announcements until the big one is ready. Something like (as I proposed in a new thread just now) a deal with Valve, or the big Zelda reveal that is going to blow us away, or the long-awaited Mario/Sonic crossover adventure/platformer game, or something like that.
Nintendo usually goes quiet, but they usually also have a drip feed of bits of info. Outside of the Smash Bros website, the only things Nintendo have spoken about since the last ND have been things that are just about to release (usually eShop stuff).
I don't know whether the announcement is being held off until E3, or if they just want the timing to be right for a ND, but I find it rather difficult to believe that, if they had nothing new in the works other than what they'd already announced, they'd also go silent on the games they have announced.
It's been quite a while...I would have expected another ND or something by now. Maybe this week, sure, but still. It's been a worryingly long time since the last one.
Still, no need to panic just yet. If I've learnt anything, it's that you can't count Nintendo out. Hopefully that'll be true again now.
They need atleast one game to show at E3 that we haven't known about for a year already.

They better tread very carefully. If that Is getting more attention now than the Wii U then all of us who own a Wii U are royally buggered and we wont part with hard earned £££ to the big N again!
I think Iwata is still shocked on the unprecendent level of 3rd party support for both WiiU and 3DS. I heard he moved from sake to russian vodka because of that.
Probably amping up marketing and development under the radar to surprise everyone at E3 or something. One thing is for sure, they aren't sitting around and doing nothing.

No I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they're doing.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
