I hope they do E3. They already have SSB, X, SMTxFE, Yarn Yoshi, Zelda U, Hyrule Warriors and Miyamoto's new IP to show plus whatever else they have cooking for Wii U and 3DS.

Being serious, I'm pretty indifferent to what they do at E3, if they announce something that I like, I'll consider getting their console, if not, then I won't, that's all, it doesn't matter where it's announced.

BTW, the Zelda I want is an open world with and artstyle similar to my sign which I expect to be announced as Zelda HD ready for launch for the Wii U succesor.

They had a big booth at E3 2013 (at least on par with MS and Sony), they had no conference though.

If they announce Zelda U in a Nintendo Direct, I am not going to buy it. I need the E3 Hype, I need the standing ovation

Flopped? Not even close. Are those games underperforming expectations? Absolutely.

E3 is a thing you read about in your 90's gaming magazines. Now that the internet allows us to speculate about what might happen for the 362 days a year when E3 ISN'T happening, the actuality will always be a massive disappointment to the minority of people charged with the duty to broadcast that disappointment. At least Nintendo gives us the option to experience disappointment first-hand. Time to put E3 to rest.
