I'd be surprised if Titanfall can single handily boost Xbox overall base line sales, it's a great game but not that big to cause that type of increase.

I don't think (or at least I hope) that nobody expects the Xbox One to outsell the PS4 for an extended amount of time.  Even without inFamous, I think the PS4 and the Playstation brand is just too big to overcome.  All I expected was for it to shift some consoles and it did (or maybe the semi-price drop did).  For how long, I don't know.

It certainly has given Xbox One an impressive short term boost. Next month should be interesting and will tell us it's long term impact, I think X1's baseline will be above what it was, but comfortably lower than 100k.

Haven't you been paying attention to the weeks leading up to the Titanfall launch, hell even around the beta time console sales went up. Overall Titanfall is a very fun game, I am at prestige level 2 and loving it.  This game is defintely doing its job, even if it goes multi-plat it will still be synonomous with XB1.

I fell the exactly opposite... in two weeks (max 3) it will be where it was before Titanfall... the only thing that could change that is the $50 deals created by the low sales of TF bundle... retail needs to sell them now.

So it was only supposed to increase X1 short term sales?  If so then yes it has.

Titanfall has definitely had an impact and a great start to the first title in the series. It certainly has the basis for becoming even bigger.

The reality is it would have likely been a better game on ps4 and sold more. I think it will be more difficult for Xbox one to get exclusives in future excluding Microsoft's own studios that is of course.

It's possible the next Titanfall may not even be on xbox one. The developer seems pissed that Titanfall changed from being a timed exclusive to a permanent exclusive and has likely meant a loss of revenue for the developer. EA likely pocketed the fee from Microsoft for exclusivity. Also many technical issues trying to get the game running well and has still resulted in a low resolution in the released game on xbox one. So if the Xbox one market share declines compared to ps4 even more I could see Titanfall 2 not appearing on xbox one.

Also very strange about the lack of info, images and video of the 360 version right up to launch time. It's still possible the 360 version could be surprisingly close to xbox one performance.

I dont think it made a huge difference. The sales in the US were decent and got better. The sales in europe were appaulling and are still bad.

I dont think anything changed. But the X1 got a boost nevertheless so it was a system seller.

Titanfall has been a VERY VERY VERY (just keeps repeating) important game for the XBONE and the situation would be way worse for Microsoft if the game didn't exist, but I think it's too early to know how it's affecting long term console sales.
