900k in the first few days just on x1 and thats not including the ones in the titanfall bundle or digital downloads so yeah its been a gamechanger for sure

900k is counting Titanfall bundles

VGC tracks digital vouchers in official bundles.

Fine...then 850K not counting Titanfall Bundles....

I don't think its done its job cause they wouldn't have announced that bundle for $450 if it was significantly boosting X1 sales.

Fool, this is all part of the Xbox Doctrine.

More flamebait, actually this guy reeks of alt since he came on the scene.

Really now? :D

Definitely, who are you?

Mod note I meant to report this guy not quote it, I did that the other way around earlier too.

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

i feel the opposite aswell using vgc numbers it should be back to 70-80k in a matter of weeks and idk if its me but TF doesnt have the same buzz post launch like COD does also we should wait till NPD drops for March for both HW and SW numbers seeing ass the majority of the boost is from US

Titanfall has definitely had an impact and a great start to the first title in the series. It certainly has the basis for becoming even bigger.

The reality is it would have likely been a better game on ps4 and sold more. I think it will be more difficult for Xbox one to get exclusives in future excluding Microsoft's own studios that is of course.

It's possible the next Titanfall may not even be on xbox one. The developer seems pissed that Titanfall changed from being a timed exclusive to a permanent exclusive and has likely meant a loss of revenue for the developer. EA likely pocketed the fee from Microsoft for exclusivity. Also many technical issues trying to get the game running well and has still resulted in a low resolution in the released game on xbox one. So if the Xbox one market share declines compared to ps4 even more I could see Titanfall 2 not appearing on xbox one.

Also very strange about the lack of info, images and video of the 360 version right up to launch time. It's still possible the 360 version could be surprisingly close to xbox one performance.

I really don't understand why people keep giving Respawn a free pass on the whole exclusive deal. They shit on EA for it and/or act as if Respawn literally had no idea. Like they showed up for work one day and the part of the staff working on this supposed PS4 version were told to go home or something. Or that after being crapped on by bad contracts with Activision, that all these guys would just be ok with EA essentially doing the exact same thing to them. And then, after EA did that to them, they go ahead and allow EA to publish the sequel.

Also, EA can't just "pocket" whatever MS gave them. The developers would be owed money and revenue and bonuses all tied to sales. If EA denies that without compensation then they'd be standing in line behind Activision to be sued by them. Also, I am sure EA sees they have a huge potential franchise on their hands, something that unlike Battlefield, could actually kill Call of Duty. They will want to treat these guys right.

As for the sequel skipping out on the Xbone, yeah. And it will also skip the PS4 and launch on SEGA's next console which will come with 4 of those $3,000 Titan cards revealed yesterday. And it will stream games right into your brain and run on a single AAA battery for 2000 hours. And it cures cancer and feeds babies creamy, nutricious breast milk.

I also feel Titanfall has done its job. If that job was being the first and most rewarding reason to jump into next gen. The absolute only thing I care about in regards to sales is that it sells well enough to ensure all of us enjoying it always have a great online community to play against. And it has done that. 900k in 4 days is better than I remember anyone here predicting it would sell, and yet surprise surprise it somehow isn't enough.

Just got my X1 yesterday, the Titanfall bundle and my, my this game is fun! It is so damn hard to put down! It's too early too if there is a lasting effect on X1 sales but this game interests people the moment they see it.

WE are not exactly your average joe. We're a rag tag group of gamers who love to squabble over trivial shit. And oh ho ho, do we give fucks about our graphics/resolutions/pixels.

Right now the Xbox One is the system to own.

Yep and if MS can drop the price of the XBOX ONE in the fall to $399, they will be right back in it. I think this would be the best strategy. Christmas season is generally when XBox does good and gains back lost sales. With all the price breaks, as I have said a million times, they will drop price to $399 in the fall.

What do you think based on the latest weeks sales.

I say no,

I say:->TITANFALL HAS FAILED <-

(to have any lasting impact on xbone sales)
