Well that was surprising, didn't expect it so soon but I did predict a $50 pricecut before summer

I thought they would wait at least a month until stabbing the Titanfall buyers in the back...

They would be stabbed in the back regardless, just like anyone who buys an 8th gen system right now. Price cuts, remodels, bundles, etc. are inevitable throughout any and all system's life cycles.

Ps4 still more valuable at it's current price.

Subjective.

And if you believe differently, that's also subjective. But the ps4 is still stronger and cheaper.

Only two of many factors that some people consider when buying a console.

one could argue those are the most important factors

I was talking to a rather smug GameStop employee not long ago who assured me that the price on the Xbox One wouldn't go down until AT LEAST the middle of 2015 because of how well it was selling. Which was pretty amusing then, and is very amusing now.

To be fair the Xbox One actually has sold pretty amazing when compared to the launches of other consoles.

The main difference maker here is PS4 absolutly crushing right now.  Its forcing MS to act and act quick, which honestly is damn good news for consumers. This is why competition is always such a good thing, and why I'm extremly thankful there's multiple console manufacturers.

there is a huge difference between someone buying a system then 6-12 months later a price cut or whatever comes, than someone buying a system and that stuff comes 6 days after.

cheaper, stronger, smaller, lighter, more games.

Kinnect wasn't all that popular. Other media is about it, and the ps4 will add all of those in updates.

haha. exactly.

If they cut the price a year after launch, I don't really consider that a stab in the back. This mere months after launch is though.

wasnt expecting them to drop so soon

So this is official? That's good news but not good enough. They need to drop it to at least $399 and if they want a chance of winning NA then they need to undercut the PS4.

Who really cares either way? A price drop is good for consumers no matter why it happens.

It is too early to count any console out, especially the X1 and PS4. The 360 and Ps3 sold around 70 million plus?
We are still in the 4-6 million range this gen. There is a lot of time left.

Anyway, who really cares? Unless you have stock it really shouldn't be an issue. Fact of life - exclusives exist and always will, if you really want to play all the exclusives you must buy all the sytems! No one says you have to buy them at launch, but trust me in the long run $400 and even $500 doesn't really mean anything in a 5-7 year span.

Just had to quote you to compliment your awesome King Diamond profile pic dandd.  In 1997 I dressed up as King Diamond for halloween....lol.
