This was very weird move by Sony. I think they probably wanted to unveil this feature at E3 but somehow got leaked early due to firmware error.

Allowing people to download content that's already compatible and available in other regions is a bullshit "reveal" anyway. A slap in the face to the small tribe of Vita owners still willing to support the damn thing outside Japan, in fact.

Jim's assessment is spot-on. Their handling of the whole situation shows just how apathetic and cynical they are about the device. #4thegamers doesn't extend across their entire product line, apparently. :/

Yeah Sony has been terrible with PS1 support for the Vita. I've kind of given up on it and now just play PS1 games on my PSP.

If this gets publicized more it will be bad press, but at the same time any press is more press then the Vita is getting anyway, if they don't release the full catalog in E3 or Vita TV in the states or both, I think its fair to say that Sony actually hates the Vita.

Another great episode and another masterpiece from EA. They just can't stop producing quality stuff for people to talk about.

Really liked the first Plants Vs Zombies. Then our overlords EA bought popcap. Second game is mobile only and we get this microtransactions filled shooter spinoff. Should have put this on mobile only too.
