@Eddie -- you know the AA method for ISS is the advanced version of the AA method used in Ryse :D. That seems to b teh best one for this current gen consoles

i would think alot of people would disagree with you on that as MGS GZ proved that 60fps in an open is a must. But it was disappointing to see that puddles of rain didn't ripple when you stepped on it or even give a reflecttion of delsin when passing it

First... Ground Zeroes is not open world... it is a very little part of the open world game called Phantom Pain (or maybe you consider a camp area a open world game lol).

Second most criticisms with Ground Zeroes is about the bad AA implementation (FXAA) and bad texture loading (pop up everywhere)... in fact most prefer it 30fps with MSAA and no pop up textures.

60fps is not a game changer for a MGS game.

BTW Crysis is not open world too... lol it is not even close to that... big maps <> open world.

@dr henry lol that won't happen on consoles for a very long time. Lol you need a god like pc to do that! As i said dropping resolution to 900p cna lead to visual upgrade. Ryse is clear example of the benefits of dropping resoultion to 900p. But i respect your opinion. Hopefully in our lifetime gamers liek us can expereince 8k gaming eventhouhg its useless ot have such a high resolution.

No.

Lower the resolution just will give more visual downgrades... just because you saw a game unfinixed in 1080 without all the effects and layers that you saw in the 900p finished version didn't means it looks worst.

Ryse in 1080p finished could be way better than the 900p version downgraded.

@ethomaz --- i am not only one saying its open world. Reviwers themselves are saying it. I haven't played MGSV GZ as i am resuing to pay a high price for a riduclosu short game and few side mission and collectibles. Why need MSAA? when ISS implentation of AA is the best i have seen as its very clean with no jaggies. Its the one up to what was used in ryse if i am not mistaken. Everyone has their opinion and i will respect that but for me i prefer FPS over resolution especially if a small drop of it results in 60fps, Is it worth buying it (mgs game) since you have played it?

Dude GZ isn't open world lmao. It's more of an open level...The "world" is just a military base camp that takes like a minute tops to walk from one side to the other.

The ISS implementation of AA is post-processing... it is not the best one...  MSAA is a render AA... so much better (that's why The Order is cleary sharper than ISS)... they just chosse this post processing AA due better performance.

Ground Zeroes even in 1080p have a lot of jaggies and the fast moviments is compromissed by the blurry FXAA... and it is not Open World... MGS4 is more open world than Gound Zeroes (and it is not open world too)... reviewers and Kojima are saying Phantom Pain will be Open World and Ground Zeroes is a little part of the map.

BTW the game is the best game you can play on current consoles right now... it is expensive but a must to have game.

PS. I added a comment about ryse in my previous comments

It looks like ass on PS3 while simultaneously being one of the best looking PS3 games. I beat it in two hours but It was really fun especially listening to Ride of the Valkyries while running or while sniping people up in one of the towers.

not going to whole ryse debate about whether it was a downgrade or not,, whether Developers are lying or tellign the truth. The fact is that the visual on the retail copy of ryse was a significant upgrade to that of the E3 footage reveal of the game . Agin i trust crytek whne they said that teh game ws always 900p. At the end because teh vuisual have been upgraded signifiantly from e3 footage ,, then its not a visual downgrade . plus the game was very sharp , clean and crisp and if the resolution wasn't mentioned ,, most people wouldn't be able to tell unless you have a massive projector screen. Again 900p to 1080 p is a small difference compared to the visual benefits that came from it :)

Well fo rme ,, if AA implementation results in a clean and no jaggies plus while maintaining good performance then yes i would gladly love more of taht method being used for video games. Having a clean , no jaggie picture is a must for a game if possibel :).Well the video showing Order game showed the game suffered ffrom alot of slowdown. Hopefully that gets eradicated before it gets released.

Yea i saw that and replied back  ;).

Sweet will rent it out at my local video store as the game in nz ranges from 50 bucks to 90 bucks which is same price as a full retail AAA game whereas its only 8 bucks for rental lol.
