Its time for XB1 overtaking PS4 total sale in US...

Or they are just opening their eyes and seeing whats going on, the PS4 is still far from being readily available worldwide. |
To call himself "true_fan" he doesn't come off as one. He comes off as bitter or upset for no reason. I mean from his post history and being new he is super defensive towards PS4 and Sony fans. Whatever I guess seeing seeing as it what he said is true. The PS4 is having supply issues and just like last month it will more than likely be undertracked just like the XB1 was. Sigh I will never understand some things on here...
The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Bigger boost than I expected this week for XOne, good. Aside from that everything is pretty much where I thought it would be, aside from maybe Vita which is a tad higher and PS4 which is a tad lower (but I may have been suckered in by the "PS4 over XOne and PS4 back in stock threads, so who knowsn)
Either way there's something everyone can be happy about really, and I count that as a win.
the bloodbath this forum will become if x1 loses march npd
Thanks jlmurph!
We do have quarterly reports coming up so not long from now we will be able to get an official picture to how the two consoles are fairing up until the end of March.

I, by no means, would say that selling 155k in a week isn't a success, but it's only a relative success (given the context). Yea, it boosted says by 108%, but that's the problem with percentages. Going from 1 to 2 is a 100% increase. What I'm trying to say is that XBone numbers weren't that great to begin with so to laud "look at that boost!" ignores the fact that it's not hard to go from less than stellar sales to good sales. It's hard to go from good sales to great sales. If a new Mario came out next week and the WiiU jumped to 70k, would you call that a success? Yea, sales doubled, but doubling a lower number isn't that great in the grand scheme of things. That's what I mean by a relative success.
I remember a time in this forum when selling anything less 100k a week meant your sales were poor (this was mostly an anti-PS3 position since it's sales neared dipping below 100k, so to make it look worse, Xbox fans would say <100K bad, >100k good, because 360 was consistently above 100k), and now those same people are going nuts for 150k for a game that was massively hyped, bundled for free, and had a price cut in a region? Please don't mind my skepticism of this "success" when looking at the big picture.
For right now, though, it's a great thing.

wasn't it that week were the ps4 was available on amazon the whole week and yet only able to sell ~50k in the us ?

Nope, just makes them useless.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

not tarring kitler with anything, just telling him what has been said many times here. on the level of sales. 13 v 33 (or however many it is now) - seems fine. |
i think it was 48 at the end of the holidays. +1 for japan and i think another couple of places in asia. so like 52 maybe.
...and i'm trying not to be over critical. but there is a lot to consider.
titanfall is not really exclusive but the 360 version was delayed until april. titanfall was bundeled,.. that's not really a price cut but it does make for the best deal on an xbone since the pre-order bundles. it is the biggest title released so far that isn't a day-1 launch title and very heavily hyped and marketed. it was a boost but i dunno i'm just not "impressed". maybe i'm just being too critical but a 108% boost this early on in the generation with a bundle effectively lowering the price of an xbox is just not that impressive to me.
but whatever,.. i'm pretty sure infamous will get a smaller boost so maybe i should have just kept my mouth shut. i'm pretty much just inviting people to rag on infamous's launch. although,.. if benV's hint at lower shippments is true ps4 will probably go negative WoW and the forums will really blow up in the most hilarious way possible. xD
