Was going to post that I hope you could also dim it as well as turning off completely and then I saw the post above me, sweet

seriously? lmao.

Yup still would prefer to have both options, but I like the light, it's just to bright sometimes and shines too much on the TV screen especially in dark scenes, so I prefer dimming over turning off.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

This will no doubt give the controller a longer use time as it'll drain less power.

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

I seriously doubt this will save much battery. LEDs are very energy efficient.

Cool I guess, the really bright light bar is of LITERALLY no use when playing Netflix (as opposed to basically no use the rest of the time)

Contrary to popular belief, it will probably cause the battery to run out sooner.

Not in comparison with the rest of the hardware.

Ever wonder why the battery life of a smartphone is like 90% shorter with turned on screen? Yep.

That was my main question as battery life on DS4 is definitely less than DS3.

nah, they can only be dimmed

Finally for the slow peeps with the inability to put a damn piece of tape over it ffs.

Without the light you would never know if the battery is charged or running out of power, so you would never charge it fully.
