Forums - Sony - DS4 light bar can be turned off in a furture FW update - Correction: Can only be dimmed

After recently being a total dick to everyone Shuhei apparently decided to not be one anymore and give the people the most desired light switch in the world.

If you will excuse me, I got to call off a hit on a certain japanese executive.

PS4 not doomed!

Can't say I've personally ever noticed the light much at all, but for those who find it annoying this is good news.

Not required. Nobody is bothered by it and people even decorate it now...

Cant imagine who has even asked for this? odd.

Apparently only I was asking for it. Which makes me and Shuhei best buddies I think. That he would do this just for me is amazing isn't it?

Was going to post that I hope you could also dim it as well as turning off completely and then I saw the post above me, sweet

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

just dim?

so you can dim the led on the controller... should help with the mood when entertaining the ladies.

PlayStation 4 gets you the ladies confirmed.

Could help with battery life?

Not going to let anyone ruin my party. Dimming is still better than nothing.

At least now the battery will last a little longer.
