Forums - Movies & TV - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Final Trailer! - by Sony, please support Sony

I think it will do fine, but I wonder if I'm the only one having some fatigue with the Spiderman movies.

The ones with Toby Maguire seemed to go down hill quickly and I did like the newest reboot, but I'm not really too excited for another one so soon.

This movie should make money for Sony.

ASM also didn't do as well on the box-office because Spider-Man 3 really turned people off to Spider-Man. That movie was complete shit. There was also the fact that The Dark Knight Rises released two weeks after ASM which probably cut into its profits a bit. Ted also released the week and it was a huge hit at the box office suprisingly.

It'll be interesting how it does with Gozilla releasing 2 weeks after it and X-Men: Days of Future Past releasing 3 weeks.

The audience also didn't feel the need for a reboot so soon after SM3...
Also Captain America: the Winter Soldier is releasing a month before.. but I think X-men will be hurt the most cause it may lead to Superhero-fatigue with CA, SM and the X-men releasing within 2 months for the more casual audience..

I'm so pumped for this. I—contrary to others—really liked the first Amazing Spider-Man, so I am really excited for this one. The only thing I am hesitant about is the number for villains in the movie.

Me too. I liked the first ASM as well. It was a good contrast from the Sam Rami versions. I am looking forward to this one.

It's Spider-Man, of course it's going to do really well

it needs to do great:
the ASM1 was actually the worst performing spider-man movie
http://boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=spiderman.htm

it needs to up the total 50 to 100 million so Sony can make spinoffs to create their own "Spiderman Universe" like Disney has with their "Marvel universe" and Fox with their"X-men universe" a lot of the future of Sony Pictures is depending on that.. they need a Twilight, Harry potter, Pirates of the Carribean to support them for the next few years..

Ted is a horrible movie. Spiderman 3 was so bad. Now the Rhino Eloctro and Hob should propel the movie. Im very excited to see it. Loved the 1st one also. That Days of Future Past is going to be rocking. The trailer is very well done.

It did a lot better than the trilogy in the rest of the world and is more than likely this movie will do better than the first one ww.

I'm only gonna watch this to support Sony. The awesome movie is a tiny bonus.

Very true about the fatigue. Most people expect more time than 3 years before a reboot is announced, especially since there were talks about Spider-Man 4. I agree with you that X-Men will probably be the most negatively impacted by big releases in a span of two months. Also, the more we hear about X-Men the less intriuging it becomes. The completely botched Quicksilver—he looks like he should be in a Spy Kids movie. People are also getting tired of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman is great but people want to see other characters get a chance. The Winter Soldier should be just fine and ASM will probably a bit of a dip because of Godzilla and X-Men.

I'll definitely go see it, but every trailer honestly makes me believe that this movie has wayyyyyy too much going on in it. Seriously, it looks like there's 3-4 movies worth of events being condensed into this single film. Crazy

I never said Ted was a good movie. But no one can deny that it did amazing at the box office and that had to have cut in Spider-Man's profits.
