Forums - Movies & TV - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Final Trailer! - by Sony, please support Sony

I didn't mind the guy who plays spidy... but more peeved that we had to sit through yet another retelling of the same story (i.e like superman etc).

The only thing I don't like in the trailer is the blue thing... looks way too CGI.

Will buy it on Blu Ray... won't see it at cinema.

I'm so pumped for this. I—contrary to others—really liked the first Amazing Spider-Man, so I am really excited for this one. The only thing I am hesitant about is the number for villains in the movie.

It's Spider-Man, of course it's going to do really well

it needs to do great:
the ASM1 was actually the worst performing spider-man movie
http://boxofficemojo.com/franchises/chart/?id=spiderman.htm

it needs to up the total 50 to 100 million so Sony can make spinoffs to create their own "Spiderman Universe" like Disney has with their "Marvel universe" and Fox with their"X-men universe" a lot of the future of Sony Pictures is depending on that.. they need a Twilight, Harry potter, Pirates of the Carribean to support them for the next few years..

Will probably rent it. Spider-man movies peeked in my mind with Spider-man 2.

Nah, I hate super hero movies, they're way to predictable.

THIS !!!

But still movie looks fun, guess I'll watch in a "non-lucrative" way to Sony, sorry OP.

most movies are predictable. last movie i saw was lego movie and i knew everything that was going to happen before walking into the theater. Second to last movie was  anchor man 2 and before walking in I knew exactly what formal and kind of jokes would be told.

ASM also didn't do as well on the box-office because Spider-Man 3 really turned people off to Spider-Man. That movie was complete shit. There was also the fact that The Dark Knight Rises released two weeks after ASM which probably cut into its profits a bit. Ted also released the week and it was a huge hit at the box office suprisingly.

It'll be interesting how it does with Gozilla releasing 2 weeks after it and X-Men: Days of Future Past releasing 3 weeks.

I still got disappoint of the first movie in my head, gonna wait a bit to see this.

I feel the same way. And this trailer has not made me think it might actually be better. Action wise it will be but story wise, not so sure.

It did $750m WW. Spider-Man 2 did $780m or so and Spider-Man 1 did $820m. Not that far off.

I'm sure ASM2 will do quite a bit better than ASM1. The villains are certainly a lot more appealing this time (last time there was only the Lizard).

ASM1 also had the second largest budget out of the four and did the worst at the box office.

Thats unadjusted.. ASM was like $120 million behind Spider-man 2 inflation adjusted..  ASM2 looks great and i hope it can pull it of
