He gave Killzone Shadow Fall a 6 and also gave Knack the accolade of being one of top ten the worst games of 2013. Such an Xbox biased fanboy, I KNOW!!!

What is shocking about the review? He said it was a great game with amazing gameplay, but with some flaws like lack of single player.

All this tells me is that neither the Ps4 or X1 have anything worth buying a whole new system for.

Well, he's being consistent and seems worried about the many lows and missed opportunities, however he had a great time playing the MP...

keep in mindbhe is first and foremost a PC guy, so he was probably not as affected by the MS hype train as other reviewers who are either ms fanboys or bought out by the giant ms pr machine... Note that some may really feel like it deserves such high scores, despite the lack of content and terrible story/campaign, and contrarily to the new metal gear game, titanfall is a full price that also require a monthly registration in order to work.

He playec both, shown both in the video as well (mentions how ea's servers suck bigbtime.. No problem on the xb1)

How is he a PS fanboy if he doesn't even own a PS3? This forum is awesome and they're a lot of nice people but some aren't so bright.

I watched the review. Per usual, I think he has a nice down to Earth, "every day gamer" way of speaking about games, but he gets way too muddled and bogged down preaching from his soap box.

I actually agree with most of his problems with the game. I think the MP campaign, while fresh and certainly containing some nice moments, is pretty much a throwaway after one completion. And I think the lack of customization and extras can leave some players wanting more.

The thing is though, not everyone gives a shit about any of that. He talks about how CoD and BF have "deeper progression systems". Cool. I'm good with what Titanfall does though. You play, you level up, you unlock things. While using said things, you can further unlock extras and attachments for them. It's streamlined and effective.

He complains that maybe the game should have more maps and weapons. I was actually thinking the other day that the weapon count is low. But then I realized I don't really give a shit. For all the extra weapons CoD and BF might have, for the most part I pick a few weapons I like and stick with them. I fucking LOVE the shotgun in this game. It's exactly what a shotgun should be. If you're mid range, a few well placed blasts can take someone down. If they are further away, you're already dead. If they're at close range, just press fire and watch the points light up. Ghosts on the other hand has 4 shotguns. BF4 has ELEVEN. Yet, are any as great feeling and as balanced as the shotty in Titanfall? Not for my money. A lot of people thing CoD4 was the best one of the new CoD games. They think that because instead of a huge crapload of stuff, we had a small selection of well designed and balanced content.

His other big complaint was the lack of a SP campaign and to me this is where the whiny soapbox shit comes into play. To me it makes no sense to see someone shit all over the campaigns of CoD and BF but then insist Titanfall includes one. Especially when he has spent all the review showing clips of him basically laughing at the writing and story they did give him. He complains that the story is nothing but pre-match dialogue, but then acts almost offended any time there is actual, meaty story dialogue going on in the matches. It seemed most of the review was him just trying to warn us that oh noes guys, these shitty terrible campaigns I am going to poop all over in this review, might get taken away! To that I say, who cares?

The biggest WTF is the general tone of the OP and the rest of the thread. A 7/10 from him is like an 8 or 9 from anyone else. He even says the gameplay itself is fresh and awesome, but he needed justification for that click bait score so he harped on the campaign. Which, he should have known would be exactly what it was if he was following the prerelease info about the game.

The irony is he gave the game a 7 because he feels its slim on content. Yet people will spend more time with it than the average game filled with $60 worth of content.

What about the OP tone you don't like? Let me guess. Its that I said don't fall for the hype, and don't believe the perfect 10/10 score when the game is lacking in many areas right? Look, many reviewers gave it 10/10 without mentioning the flaws. This is the problem, and this is what the thread is about. That is the thread main topic.

You yourself agree with most of the problems, but don't try to sugarcoat it like that. I mean you're doing exactly what those other reviewers did. lol
