Forums - Nintendo - The Thing That Annoys Me About Aonuma

It's also getting seriously annoying. He basically says the exact same thing in his interviews. You know, how we always mentions how he wants to stop the hand-holding and linear progresssion in Zelda. It's like he's trying to stall people unti he can talk about Zelda U. Can't he talk about the items their planning to do, what art styles their thinking about, what they could do if people don't like the direction Zelda's going, or Link's age in the game? I think that would be more fun to read than reading how Zelda is too linear every month.

To OP, I agree. But man how long have you been a fan of Nintendo games. It's more often like this than not.

Well, isn't the whole point? Breadcrumbing his rationale without giving away too much befor the reveal? Revealing too much information kinda wrecks the excitement. I think you are a little impatient.

Yes, but he can still talk about those things without giving it away entirely.

Nintendo has probably asked him to do to keep over 90% of his work on the new zelda confidential.

It's not Aonuma you're annoyed with. It's the non-disclosure policy he's bound to.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Are there any game developers that talk about unannounced games?
