What attacks on the characters of Sony fans did I make?

Dude this sentence, is what everyone is making a fuss about. "Sony fans continue to ignore the desperate financial situation their favorite company faces as massive layoffs are announced."
You mean, you can't tell anything wrong with this?
|
People's subsequent responses have highlighted for me that people who are supportive of Sony are continuing to attempt to ignore the significance of the company's financial woes. This is just the latest massive layoff or capital selloff in the last couple months. If the latest Sony Xperia phone doesn't do well, expect even more news like this.
I would call 1,000 employees being laid off massive. I would call people's responses ("this doesn't affect my gaming") ignoring the problem. They aren't bad people because they don't care, but it might quickly impact their gaming. I guess it was kind of misguided for me to call Sony gaming fans' favorite gaming company. Maybe I should have said 'Sony fans continue to downplay the potential impact of the company's financial situation on the future of their gaming console,' but I really do object to the idea that I was massively out of line.
What are half of the responses here but ways of downplaying the potential impact of this news to their gaming? I mean... that's exactly what I meant and I've been proven right.
