I'm going to say no, not like 9 / 11 was. I think it will either be something on a much larger scale, like war scale, or never happen again.  I think anyone interested in it, knowing full well the US will crush them into oblivion if they try something like that, is going to want more of a "payoff" than 9 / 11 yielded, in exchange for basically ending their regime / country.

The United States will likely collapse by then, but will there be an attack in the country it currently governs in a close enough future? Likely. Fortunately we'll see the United States go the way of the U.S.S.R before then, so it wouldn't affect populations of 300 million.

9/11 was made possible, primarily, by troubles of interagency cooperation in the US intelligence community. If the FBI and CIA had been properly communicating with each other, they would've pegged the guys who were coming into the country to learn how to fly planes, and the whole thing would have been derailed.

I don't doubt there will be more attacks like the Boston Marathon bombing, but something on the scale of 9/11 is going to be insanely difficult for anyone to pull off ever again. Not unless we go for, like, 75 years without a major attack and these things start to be de-funded or something (course, most of us will likely be dead by then).
