None. See, thats where internet vs reality kicks in. I dont like Lightning and Xlll series is nowhere my favorite FF, but lets not pretend FF has been damaged. 15, 16 , 7 remake .. Whatever will be bought like candy specifically with the people claiming series damage leading the pact. 13 has overstayed its welcome and thats about  how far it goes

We will see. For the most part I agree that people are likely just pissed off with constant milking of XIII, but its gonna be interesting to see how XV does.

While I agree Monokuma was a great character, probably the best character from Japanese games which seems to be what this award focused on, I think characters from GTA V or The Last of Us would have been better winners.

But some of the other runners up shouldn't be in Best Character awards for games.

1st of all you dont know if the Jp version of them was good and secondly this is a popularity contest and not really who is the best character clearly =P

Sales would indicate that the consumer in general is sick to death of everything Final Fantasy XIII.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is outselling and outlegging Lightning Returns in Japan. Let that sink in a moment. Lightning Returns just got outsold by a new IP JRPG on the 3DS in America. Let that sink in.

People are sick and tired of the XIII saga. Sales data shows us reality. The reality is that people dont want and dont like the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. The decline over each title is very real.

The popularity of a character isn't mutually inclusive with quality of a game or its sales reception. There are more factors at work than just the popularity of a character.

Constant milking of XIII, do we live in the same world? It has 3 games in one generation and that's the extent of it. It's not being dragged along in spin-offs or social/mobile versions. Each of the 3 were full-fledged games with a lot of content.
