Forums - Gaming - Amazon Controller Leaks out.. for its CLOUD console? it's happening isn't it?

Earlier this week, Amazon made its AppStream cloud streaming service available for all developers. The technology uses Amazon Web Services to stream apps, including games, from the cloud to devices. Eve Online developer CCP games has used the system, and its chief technology officer believes it could upturn the traditional download model.

now its get interesting..

could be fine could be bad, u cant say that just by looking at it...

Controller design looks a little too rigid, and I personally am not so sure how I would do with the analog placement. It's also not nearly as sleek as the big 3's controllers.

Looks like Amazon saved money on the controller R&D, it looks like a cheap imitation 360 controller.

It looks awfully familiar doesnt it? Especially the face buttons letters.

I wonder if it could mean something...

Around the Network

Well that looks revolting.

If it's cloud based ... that could be a game changer because it likely means a very different business model (maybe more akin to Netflix?).

The controller doesn't look great, but seems functional enough, all the buttons you'd expect are there.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

So Amazon might be leading to offer a service very similar to the Playstation Now!!!

All us gamers laugh, but in the end we're just prideful dinosaurs, kings of the realm oblivious to oncoming change. Console gaming is on it's way out, the future of home gaming is going to either be cloud based or at least on a unified OS, non steam "steam boxes," if you will.
