One thing people ignore is the fact that Titanfall would be a near non-entity if Microsoft hadn't sunk what clearly amounts to tens of millions of dollars worth of marketing into it.

What? Look at what EA did with FUSE.. clearly EA could have done it alone..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Anyway it's just fans of MS and Nintendo all looking at the vids for any signs of a downgrade.. >_>

Its all well and good to say that it would have sold millions on PS4. But ultimately Sony is neither known for its shooters, or its ability to market individual games as well as Microsoft. If Titanfall had been multiplat or Sony-exclusive, it just wouldn't have ever become as big a deal.

The whole argument is a giant, irrelevant what-if!

EA seem capable of marketing and they do have some money to spend on it

This sounds like complete and utter BS. EA don't need to kiss ass or apologise to Sony like they have the upper hand.

I doubt that inFamous Second Son will sell more than the XBO version of TitanFall, let alone more than the PC + XBO + X360 versions.

If nothing else, than simply due to being a bundled software on XBO. Even Knack managed to get over 300k sales in Japan due to being bundled with the PS4 there.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if inFamous manages to be a 2+ million seller for the PS4.

EA has placed all bets on MS with three exclusives for XBO where traditionally they have been multi-platform publishers.

TitanFall
Plants vs. Zombies - Garden Warfare
Peggle 2

If Sony were the vindictive kind, you would see EA published games get less promotion on Playstation brand stuff, but I don't see Sony doing that. They just try to get everything on their system and give everything a chance. Especially the indie games that get a lot of Sony focus in terms of promotion. That's probably why EA is pissed at Sony.

Plants Vs Zombies and Peggle came to 360 first, it's just Titanfall which is the outlier. Sony needs EA, neither MS or Sony are wise to piss off a big pub.

I doubt it would have sold more on ps3 then 360 since shooters always perform better on the 360 and as far as the itvselling better on the ps4 tgen the one who knows

Last I checked, Sony does have the upper hand. They're selling at a record pace and EA is missing out on that. The Ps3 is also still doing okay WW, while the 360 has completley imploded. Not to mention, the X1 is pretty irrelevent outside NA, so EA is pretty much restricting themselves to the US by ignoring the PS4.

I honestly can't wait for the Titanfall 2 (or Titanfall successor) announcment for PS4. It'll be pretty much as big as loosing Halo at this point (given the money and hype MS has injected into it)
