Unfortunately that seems unlikely to explain everything. The drops seem pretty regular, following trends from previous consoles, and there's no real games (aside from maybe one) which are worth upgrading to a PS4 in Japan to. 

Maybe a small, small portion is stock related, but there's something far more simple and believable to blame here: Japan isn't all that interested in the PS4 right now, and I don't think that surprises an awful lot of people. Sure we can see how things go in the long run, but for how long can we keep on blaming the stock I wonder?

Probably no for sure either way on MGS week. 

Agreed, and that's only a few weeks away now, though it is releasing on PS3 as well which sorta distorts the figure. Still, we shall see!

It was down in the UK and US last week because it was supply constrsined due to shipments going to Japan.... and now its supply constrained in Japan?  where the fuck are the consoles going?  Iceland?


Sony fans are going to say its supply constrained for the next 5 years. they are actually trying to convince themselves that its selling 150k because that all sony can make! Its funny, sony sold every console they had in america in week 1, then only had around 300k in week 2, then, somehow came up with 900k in week 3. Where the hell did those come from? Im sorry, but the ps4 may not be completely available everywhere, it is available in more places than not. Theyre available in my area at bestbuy and walmart, and i think its obvious to anyone but fanboys thats sony can and is making more than they are selling. Seriously, supply issues in japan? What a joke... i remember some here actually saying the vita was supply constrained too.... yeah, it sure was. Just let em be, kowen, let em be.....

This discussion wasn't about Vita. But if you want to be exhaustive, please note that in every region last week PS4+PS3+Vita > WiiU+3DS+Wii
