That's where you're wrong!

No, no. If there isn't negativity in Nintendo threads the balance of the universe will be thrown off.

It would have already been thrown off then, but seeing as it hasn't, you're clearly speaking nonsense!

Duh that's why it's awesome! From the perspective of the driver alone you'd have no idea what the entire track looks like or just how big it is, atleast I sure didn't!

Lemme race on it first.

Also how bout dis?

I'm on my 3DS atm, so I can't see what that picture is. =[

My oh my, look at those wretched textures for the forest below the track. Totally flat.

Sorry, but there had to be something negative in here. You're lucky I went easy.

Damn you!

Can't unsee.

Yeah, the track looks insanely small when you see it zoomed out, but you drive on both sides of it which is a really cool idea, lol... also, has anyone else thought that the 8 in the Mario Kart 8 logo is actually the Mario Circuit layout? :P

Oh yeah, they showed that at the end of the reveal trailer, d'oh!

Showed what, that the 8 is actually the circuit layout? I've not seen the reveal trailer, all I've seen of the game is gameplay from E3, lol, but either way I want it :P

Yes since Mario Circuit is in the form of a mobius strip, that's why they called the game Mario Kart 8!

this idea sold me the game.

I would imagine the reason why it's like that is because no one will really ever see it while racing.  It's one of those out of sight things.  We could also point out that it seems like the towers are floating along the side of the track.
