Forums - Microsoft - PvZ: Garden Warfare is amazing

good to hear. PvZ looks waaay more my style than titanfall or really just about any online shooter. i love the humor about this instead of the gritty military shooter vibe just about everyone else on the market is doing. when it comes out for ps4 i'll probably pick it up. hopefully i can convince a few of my friends to join me.

I thought that it was exclusive to XB1, but maybe I am wrong.  Maybe just timed?

Either way, I am not much into shooters, but this game is hilarious.  I have only played it for a few hours.  I like being the plants.  I like to go around and swallow all of the zombies.  Also, the flying around and shooting people from the flying pod device is too funny.  It seems people can't figure out where the shots are coming from.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will sprout first on Xbox One and Xbox 360, as Microsoft was keen to point out at its Gamescom showcase this week. A PC version will arrive shortly after, and now we've learned from PopCap producer Brian Lindley that other platforms are also in the works. "We'll reveal more details about other platforms in the future," he tells Joystiq.

i guess "other platforms" doesn't necessarily mean ps4 but with xbone, 360, and PC "officially" announced what else could run this game?  ps4 and wiiU.  well, it's good enough for me anyways.

...and glad to hear you like it too.  it just looks like something i'll love.

im surprised EA has decided to release this so close to titanfall. they should have released it in the summer when there would be fewer games coming out. it seems fun, but not sure its worth 60 bucks.

Its not $60.  Honestly, im not upset with EA, but rather upset with the critics for not scoring it higher.  IM not sure if critics are more harsh this gen or not yet, but i do know that it is one of the best online tps games ive played

how much is it?

i stopped giving a shit about what critics score for the most part honestly, unless they tear a game up ill decide to get a game on what i seen of it. or the history of the dev behind it, for example i dont need to see the new uncharted to know that im getting it. i still look at scores, hope that a game im looking forward to scores well, but it isnt even close to a deciding factor.

anyways, dont see why you would be mad at EA, but im just saying it might have been a mistake to release a multiplayer shooter game right before releasing your much hyped, much more advertised other multiplayer shooter game. if anything is taking away attention from PvZ its TitanFall and both are from EA.

At first I was kinda turned off by the fact that it carries the Plants vs Zombies name ( a game I am not that  fond of), so it's great to see that  Garden Warfare turned out so well in the end. Can't wait to play it in a couple of months!

a mouth watering $40 which makes the game just the right price to pick up as a day-1 purchase.  honestly, all games should launch at $40.

@Jay - it's not dark and gritty with an emphisis on photorealism.   it'll get knocked for that even if the reviewers don't specifiy it directly.  there is a lot of bias in the review system.  best you can do is read the content and see exactly what they complain about.  typically it's pretty easy to spot low scores due to "not being what i wanted" as oppose to low scores due to being bad.

It looks ok, might give it shot when/if it releases of Steam and buy it for $5

Youre prob right but as for the graphics it looks REALLY good even if it isnt gritty.  Prob one of the first games i feel really is next gen looking.  Frost bite 3 looks good with this artstyle surprisingly. I dont know, i think reviewers have become a little nitpicky as of late imo.  Im fine if they are being more harsh but its going to take a while for people to adjust to 70's being good rather than people usually focusing on 80s and 90s games if that is what is happening.  The only reason it upsets me is because games that would have otherwise done great gets hurt a little bit by these scores.  Im just hoping word of mouth comes through like it did with Killer Instinct.

I assume youre going to pick it up when it releases for PS4? If you do, hope you enjoy it :D

its nothing like those games. its fps.

I know that. But having the EA logo makes the game less valuable in my eyes, especially after what they did to PvZ 2
