When we're consoles ever comparable to high-end pc specs? Regardless, 1080p 60 fps locked should become more common when devs realizes the bounds with which they have to work with consoles. This whole doom thing about consoles being under powered is over dramatic.

If you have unrealistic expectations about what consoles can do, prepare to be dissapointed and just throw money at the problem.

I'm still sure most console devs will shoot for 30fps with more detail over 60fps with less.

I agree but it really depends on the game.

For Example, Resogun is 1080p 60locked, and its Pre-decessor Super Stardust HD was the same

Wipeout HD was also 1080p 60fps locked.

Clearly the more intesive the game is the more likely it will be 30 fps, but the threshold has increased with this generation.

On one hand this is no big deal, who fucking cares.

On the other hand it's goddamn hilarious to any regular user of this site who has had to sift through thread after thread of baiting, recycled BS regarding resolutions and frame rate. How many threads and posts have we witnessed going on about 1080p60 and how any real gamer can tell the difference and should accept nothing less? And it turns out that for months some of these guys championing this rhetoric were enjoying their 1080p60 Killzone 6 and even praising it for such here on this forum and it turns out even they didn't know it was actually not full HD, was a lower resolution AFAIK than RYSE of all games, and is actually 50fps and not 60.

I think this should render any future resolution and frame rate shenanigans null, void, and irrelevant.

It does depend on the game, true.

It's just that the kind of game where 60fps is prioritised is less common, hence why the majority are -and I expect will continue to be- 30fps.

Lucky my brother finished my PC then!

Oooo what are your specs??

Hang on, I'll give him a text. I'm sure it's nothing special as it was made from scraps essentially. He says it's more powerful than both consoles though, quite handily. Paid nothing for it.

Nice....

AMD x6, 8gb of ram and a GeForce GTX 670.

For free...

That's all I've got for now. Still more powerfull than the consoles, even with the lack of further info.

haha, I thought it was "embarrassing that a next gen console couldn't do full 1080p" and now The Order and this and many more games will not be full HD ps4 games. I hope this will put an end to these annoying endless arguments about frame rates and resolutions, but this gen PS fans will keep gloating how their games look so much better than X1 games. To be fair to them, xbox fans were very arrogant last gen about third party games being better on their console so I guess these arguments will never end.

I would ask if you're going to play Titanfall on your PC but I think I know the answer. Still, yeah that will do you just fine. RAM may need an upgrade after awhile and the GPU you'll probably want to swap out in a year but hell if you paid nothing who cares?

That's kinda sketchy of GG. Does anyone have some direct shots of MP? I want to test the resolution for myself.

Yeah, geting it on Xbox One still. I've already paid for it.

I'll see how I go with it. May end up getting Watch Dogs and other games I planned on getting on X1 for PC instead. I haven't had my own proper gaming PC since I built my last one when SATA was somewhat new, THAT long.

IDE FTW! Hahaha!

What is really embarassing, and people seem to dont understand that,  is paying $100  more for a less powerful hardware when the other console $100 cheaper has the best versions of the games, then you have the possibility to get a better version of the games for a better price. So no, obviously, having a better framerate or  better resolution, better everything( yes, people are to focused on these 2 things whereas there is many others technical aspects) for a better price will always be a thing, and that's the way it should be, that makes sense if you're a smart gamer. Why pay more to get less when you can get more for less ?

( + The Order will be full HD quality so the resolution isnt a problem there, before talking about resolution, you should know why people ask for a better resolution, still, at the moment, only very few PS4 games are not 1080p , even if that isnt the only important thing of course)

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Do you make room for the possibility that some people care about games more than pixel counting?
