Forums - Nintendo - Platinum Games talks more about Bayonetta 2.

The fact that people are still talking about this is proof that Nintendo made a good decision...whether of not Bayo 2 sells well, this game is doing exactly what it was supposed to do...
Theres way too much negativity surrounding things that should be positive...

Postive is relative. Postive for PG, their game is funded. For Nintendo, another game for their console, potentially a system sell to some people. Positive to Wiiu only gamers, they get another game release.

It's negative to gamers that aren't multiconsole owners that were fans of the original. That number will be a great deal larger than the people that do buy it.

That's the problem with 3rd party exclusives, if you normally make your games for most consoles then all of a sudden ignore all but one, you're just going to alienate alot of fans while trying to grab some new fans. PG and namely Bayonetta is in a weird place where it wouldn't exist if it wasn't exclusive.

Defintely people should have long since moved on from being angry over this though.

As for doing what it's suppose to do, I'm sure Nintendo/PG would rather the game sell instead of just being a reoccuring topic of anger. But I'll agree with you that it's helping it keep from falling into complete obscurity and giving it more chances of reaching more wiiu owners.

Edit: Also PG can't really be surpised people are upset. They are basically saying, "Hey fans, if you love our game, go spend 350(w/game) on a console you may not even want!". Every non multiconsole owner will be pissed, and it should be expected.

I'm kind of sick of Platinum Games staff whining about people whining about Bayonetta, to be honest. How hard is it to say, "sorry, it can't be done", and move on?

They've said that a million times, but the crybabies just keep whining.

That doesn't matter in the slightest.  Rather, they should be pleased to have fans that care.  They might be depending on those people down the line to buy some of their games.  Also, they shouldn't forget, and this goes for everyone else, that most of the people who play videogames don't frequent gaming news sites on a daily basis and probably don't know the circumstances behind Bayonetta 2.

It's simply brainless to be rude to people who want to buy your product.

Explain to me how this is rude:

Without getting into some stuff that is both business and confidential, the simple question I’d like to ask you is, ‘Do you want to play Bayonetta 2?’ Bayonetta 2 would not exist without Nintendo white knighting that project. So while I totally understand that people want to play it on the platforms that they’ve played it on previously, we really wanted to make Bayonetta 2.

When will people stop asking for it to be on other consoles? Can they "please understand" Nintendo funded Bayonetta 2?

That last line is pretty darn rude.  I would get written up if I said something like that to a customer at work.  The same guy also said, "I hate posting anything Bayonetta 2 on our Facebook. Not because I hate Bayonetta 2, but because I hate the pedantic port-begging," which is rude as hell.

That particular response is very tame and PR. But I believe there were previous responses on twitter cursing out people.

It's not rude at all, you'd have to be hyper-sensitive to get offended by that.

As for the comment about port-begging, I don't blame them; these guys are only human, and they've been getting harrassed by morons who can't get it through their heads for over a year now. I'd lose patience as well.

People still don't get it:

"Although I am not the one complaining about Bayonetta 2, It wont shut people up. Its Platinums IP and i am sure they will probably bring it to the other consoles in the future after some WII U exclusivity time. Unless nintendo were to buy more exclusivity time, but if it doesnt sell than Nintendo will probably let platinum do what they want with thier game.

Remember when all those RARE games were on N64, and then they ended on Xbox because nintendo sold rare. Look at the First Mass Effect game on the Xbox360 for another example."

The first stage of grief is denial.

The second stage of grief is anger.

The third stage of grief is bargaining.

I don't think it's rude.  I think what better describes it is "unprofessional."  Companies and figure heads are usually supposed to act professional and in general don't try to act like an individual or directly interact with its customers while representing the company itself.

The begging really needs to stop, Bayonettta fans have failed tremendously to support it on 360 and PS3 Nintendo gave the series a rejuvenating potion...

This is a VERY funny statement actually.

If "Bayonetta fans...(failed to)...support it" then that means THERE ARE NO BAYONETTA FANS.

How could there be more fans for the first release of a game than people who bought and played it

! ?
