Forums - Gaming - Hey guys hear me out regarding PC vs Current Gen "Graphics" (and a bit on Wii U and mobile gaming)

Ha - how did the PC not get shafted then? Go on, point out 5 AAA games from the last 5 years that maxed out the PC for more than 18 months. Also throw in game size as well and crappy ports to boot.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I agree that devs aren't trying to push the graphics envelope with this gen of consoles. It's the easiest way to sell a game in a trailer; make everything look fantastic. Other gameplay aspects, AI and level design are harder for marketing departments to push so they will always push for the best graphics.

okay then, for Smeags sake i'll answer. 

"PC got shafted" ,  PC never got shafted in fact its doing much much better now than it ever did in the past, you can thank Steam for that, its probably going to be overtaking consoles sales in a couple of years.

"Graphics haven't improved in the last 5 years" Have you seen the difference in graphics between launch titles and titles released this year? or are you talking about PC? even on PC they improved A LOT, hence why they release GPUs of course.

"show me games that max out PC"  PCs cant be maxed out because every PC is different, its impossible its not a unified platform, its not a console.

"Tell me the size of the games" a size of the game has nothing to do with graphics or quality or anything for that matter, its just a bigger file, a bigger game file only means that the developer doesn't know how to code right and left unused and unfinished textures all over the place.
