New IP.

Retro has already done enough Metroid games.

When I received the rumor two years ago that Retro Studios might be working on Star Fox - Metroid: Fusion Saga, I ran the article on my site: http://paulgalenetwork.com/home/2012/05/19/rumor-is-retro-studios-wii-u-game-star-fox-metroid-fusion-saga/ and even though it wound up being just a project that was being considered for development and not actually something that Retro and Nintendo were working on, if that idea ever came to, I'd still be really excited to see it come together.

Fans want a new Star Fox game, which I'm certain that Retro Studios could deliver well on...and gamers that loved the Prime trilogy especially see the next step in the franchise to go back to Retro...so this once rumored game could be just what Wii U owners need. We'll see what happens!

I'd like to see something new, but I'm sure whatever they'll bring out will be awesome.

WHAT A TWIIIIST

what I want is simple: not 2d or racing (thank you melbyie!), story driven, 1st person or 3rd person action, adventure, or shooter ( or combo). that's it. everything else is up to retro as I have full faith in them that it won't suck. Quick clarification; when I say story driven I mean more than the primes. So much gameplay; so little story. And yes, I loved the primes (and other m!).

I want a new IP, maybe an Action RPG or 3rd Person Shooter. All I know is I dont want DK or Metroid and I dont believe Retro is capable of making an amazing grand scale game like they did with Prime any more. But hey prove me wrong Retro, show us that you can be as great of a studio as Rare was.

That means it's probably Steel Diver with Samus and Donkey Kong as playable characters. :p

O/T: I'd personally love a new Metroid or an entirely new IP. I could also go for a new Star Fox or F-Zero.

I just hope they don't cheap out on graphics effects. They seemed to be somewhat iffy about the "fur" shaders for DKCTF, so I hope they don't stick with that attitude and go all out.
